Pirce Wall Sconce by Artemide

A sculptural postmodern desconstruction that actually shines the light on itself. The Artemide Pirce Wall Sconce is constructed from a single sheet of aluminum, with a rounded cutaway pulled downward and fashioned into a shallow basin of light. While the primary recipient of illumination is the actual fixture, Pirce is fitted with a strong 300 Watt fluorescent lamp, leaving plenty of indirect light to go around. Since 1959, Artemide has created a wide array of modern table lamps, floor lamps, wall sconces and suspensions. Technologically advanced, and with styles ranging from clean and refined to sculptural and avant garde, many Artemide designs--especially the Tolomeo and Tizio--have become icons of contemporary lighting design.
